How to Apply for a South Korean Student Visa?

The South Korea Student Visa, officially called the D-2 Visa, is a type of long-term study visa that allows international students to study at Korean universities, colleges, or graduate schools. This visa is required for anyone who is planning to study in a degree program, such as a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD. 




Purpose of the Visa

The D-2 visa is designed to allow foreign students to:

How to Apply to a College





Create an Account on the College Website

Go to the official website of the college
→ Click Apply Now or Admissions
→ Create an online application account.


Upload Your Documents

You will upload:

  1. Passport

  2. Certificates & transcripts

  3. Photo

  4. English result (if available)

  5. Personal statement (some colleges ask)


Submit the Application

After filling the form and uploading documents:

  1. Pay the application fee (if required)
  2. Submit the application


Wait for the Offer Letter

If you are accepted, the college will send:

  1. Conditional Offer Letter or
  2. Unconditional Offer Letter


Accept the Offer

You may need to:

  1. Pay the first semester fee (varies by country)

  2. Submit additional documents (if requested)




Receive CAS / COA / Acceptance Letter

This depends on the country:

  1. UK → CAS

  2. Canada → LOA

  3. South Korea → COA

  4. Hungary → Admission Letter

This letter is needed for the visa.


Apply for Student Visa

After getting the official acceptance confirmation, apply for the visa:
